Spare Rib Rub





    1 cup/240 mL brown sugar, dark
    1/2 cup/120 mL paprika
    2 tablespoon/30 mL salt
    1 tablespoon/15 mL black pepper
    1 tablespoon/15 mL white pepper
    1 tablespoon/15 mL cayenne pepper
    1 tablespoon/15 mL garlic powder
    1 tablespoon/15 mL onion powder

    Prep Time: 10 minutes
    Cook Time: 20 minutes

    Total Time: 30 minutes
    Yield: Makes about 2 cups/475 mL

Awesome rub

This is a very very good rub. I would just reduce the amount of cayenne to half because it is a little bit hot. The amount of salt is a bit much too when combined with all the other ingredients. And, the amount of rub created for this recipe is too much so be careful not to put too much rub on the ribs or pork. But all in all a very good rub even with or without bbq sauce.
